Melissa began her career in financial services in 1997 with several nationally respected financial planning firms. In 2006, she founded InvestHER Fiduciary Solutions, LLC, a state-registered investment advisory firm. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with families, small business owners, and city and county government entities, delivering specialized strategies in retirement income planning and business cost containment. Known for her methodical, client-centered approach, Melissa helps clients build, protect, spend, and transfer wealth in a way that expands opportunity and supports an abundant life.

In addition to her planning expertise, Melissa holds a graduate certificate in Behavioral Financial Planning and Financial Therapy from the University of Georgia, allowing her to address not only what clients do with money but why they do it, bringing clarity, confidence, and alignment to financial decision-making.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University and holds multiple licenses and securities registrations in several states. She is the first woman of color to earn the Certified Financial Fiduciary® designation, and also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Certified Fund Specialist®, and serves as a FINRA Arbitrator. She is a Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women in Business Scholar and is currently pursuing her Certified Financial Planner® designation, with completion expected in March 2026.

Melissa serves as Board Chair of Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta. She is also actively engaged with the Association of African American Financial Advisors, the United Way VIP Alumni Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
